1. Overview

TRC operates a dense, multi-format events program that serves four simultaneous goals: member community building, member acquisition (getting guests to convert), revenue generation (rentals/fees), and content production (live video for social/YouTube). Events run nearly every day the studio is open and span intimate 10-person wellness circles to 200-person ticketed concerts.

Events divide into three ownership categories:

  • TRC-produced (internal): Shabbat Dinner, Members Night, Pizza Jam, Perception Box, Halloween, Open House, Greg Solo Piano & Wine, Sunday Brunch
  • Partnership events: JammJam (Elmo Lovano / JammCard), Abundance Institute, MAF Monthly, Writers Forum (Evan Brau), Women in Music Connect, Musiversal, LabX, Cloudgazers
  • Member/client rentals: member-hosted events (billed to member credits + a la carte fees), external non-member rentals (flat buyout fee)

Overarching event philosophy (source: Event Booking Procedure, mtime 2025-05-11):

"Curate 3 or more awesome events each week for members and their guests. Recruit new members by having current members bring guests. Generate amazing content for our social media and YouTube channels."

2. Event Process & Lifecycle

2.1 Intake and Scheduling

Do not confirm availability or pricing on the call. Gather the full request on the initial inquiry call, bring it to the team, then follow up with written confirmation and deposit request. (Source: Event Intake Form, mtime 2026-04-18)

9. Open Questions / Contradictions

  1. Event intake form pricing vs. old rental pricing: The 2026-04-18 Event Intake Form supersedes the 2024 Santa Monica rental price list. Use the 2026 rates going forward. The old $540/3-hr mainstage and $2,100/3-hr full venue rates are archived, not current.

  2. Alan D'Auria weekly jam status: The recurring weekly Thursday jam was documented at $350/wk (LuteFish) + $250/wk (Alan). Unclear if this continued into 2026 — no post-2025 docs found.

  3. Jovon Times Singer-Songwriter series: Referenced in Event Booking Procedure (3/month) but no individual event docs found in this bundle for 2025. Status unknown.

  4. Hadrien Feraud and Ruslan Sirota: Listed as regular scheduled artists (2x/month each) in the May 2025 Event Booking Procedure. No individual event docs present in this bundle. Unclear if these are active.

  5. Moloney contract / Shabbat chef: Chef Dee appears in 8/8/25 Shabbat; Korrah appears in 10/10/25, 11/21/25. Both are referenced without permanent contract. Which chef is standard?

  6. JammJam frequency in 2026: 4 documented 2025 instances (9/17, 10/23, 11/19, 12/10). No 2026 instances found in this bundle. Monthly cadence implied but not confirmed.

  7. Membership acquisition discount at events: The Ginny Luke contract specifies "amount from remaining balance deducted per new sign-up" — this per-event deal is not consistent across all events. Need to clarify whether this is standard policy or negotiated individually.

  8. Prime Movers Lab events: Multiple PML docs exist in the bundle but appear to be a major conference engagement in early 2026. Not fully documented here — see 04-events bundle lines 17,000+ for PML content.

  9. BBQ gear rental ($4,520): It is unclear whether this was an actual purchase or a rental quote that was declined. Source document doesn't confirm final disposition.

  10. Event Recording Club contractor guidelines: Video engineer rate listed as $35/hr in some docs and $30/hr in others (Jeff Miller agreement). The Intake Form rate of $35/hr is more recent; use $35/hr as standard.
